I am a 3 varsity sport student athlete and it will be for all 4 high school years. I am a starting varsity soccer player at a 5A high school and have played Club soccer for many years. As a freshman I made the varsity soccer team and have started every game since then. I was a defensive player the entire time until I got into high school and my coach wanted me to try a different position. I didn't want to switch positions because I was comfortable playing where I was, but I listened to my coach and it made me become a better player. I was on the ODP (olympic Development Program) Idaho State Soccer Team for two years. I talk a lot about soccer to explain why I was never on a club basketball team. It conflicted too much and there were some circumstances that happened to change my thoughts and directions to basketball. My years of playing soccer at a competitive level has helped me become the basketball that I am today...I feel like I have great court awareness and have a good feel for the game and I am an agressive, quick athletic player. I have great passing skills and see the open player. I display leadership on and off the court.
I have also been on the Varsity Track team and we have been District and State Champs for my Freshman through Junior years(hopefully my Senior year). My Freshman year I was the 400m District Champion(time:1:01). I have been willing to run any event my coach wants to put me in. My Junior year, I was on the 4x100 relay team and we took 1st at State. I was also in the 4x200 relay and we took 4th. My track stats are on athletic.net.
My passion and my favorite sport is basketball. My dream is to play college basketball at any level. My Freshman year, I was put on the JV and Varsity teams. Most my practice time was with the Varsity team, but I mainly played JV. My sophomore year, I was on the Varsity team and I started a few Varisty games. I was the Rookie of the year for my team. I had 73 total points for my sophomore year. My game high for that year was 7 points. My Junior year, I was co-captain for the Varsity team. I was All-Conference 2nd team and was top scorer for my team. I was voted offensive player and Lady Trojan award by my team. I scored a total of 137 points that year. I wished that my coaches kept better stats such as assists and time played. My coach likes to sub in and out a lot so I don't get the full playing time I would I like so my stats are based on approximately a half to 3/4 playing time. I don't feel my stats show what kind of athlete that I am and what a difference I can make on and off the court. This summer I have been shooting everyday and have made 3701 free throws so far. I have been working on my jump shot and 3 pointers. I would love to play college basketball. I am a hard worker and I don't quit until I have it right. Please take a look and give me a chance I know you will not be dissapointed. I am a motivated and dedicated student and athlete that would love to make a difference on and off the court. 1st game 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists (approx 20min playing time). I am the assist leader on my team and probably the 3rd top scorer on team. I have other game film if you would like to see. Take a look at me as I know I can contribute on and off the court for you!
