Hi, I'm Ella. I've been playing basketball for 7 years. I've also played volleyball, soccer, and run track. My goal for the future is to be a coach and use my gifts to help others grow and reach their goals. Basketball is more than a hobby to me. I fell in love with the game when I was little and my love for the game has continued to grow through the highs and lows I've faced as a basketball player.
My team last year had a really hard season. Most of our players were new to basketball and we never won a game. It challenged me in so many ways and taught me to be the best leader and teammate I could be. I also grew spiritually, trusting God had a plan for me. It was hard, though. I questioned if I should still play. I was so unsure and started to fall out of love with the game. This summer I went to a PGC camp and found my spark again and my love for the game. The coaches there inspired me and saw something in me. I believe what they saw in me was my true self; a hard-working, driven, confident, committed, joyful player. I ultimately just want to help my teammates and inspire them. I want to be the best version of myself while glorifying God.
