Karla Lopez '24 Recruiting Profile

I am interested in attending a college that offers pre-med or science majors so that I can be prepare for medical school; I aspire to work in the medical field, specifically in the neurological department. 

For me, basketball has always been a fun sport that I have enjoyed since the 5th grade. In my years of playing basketball, I have grown both as an individual and as a player. I have learned important lessons about leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. In addition to these lessons, I have also learned how your team in reality should be another family. Everyone works together to reach a common goal, and everyone improves one another through working hard. As families do, we support each other’s aspirations on and off the court and push each other to reach our full potential. I would love to get academic and basketball scholarships because they would help me reach my full potential, and it would allow me to make all the people who worked and believed in me proud. 

In the end, we are all collections of experiences, and we are the ones who choose whether they mean anything or not.
