From a young age I have always been playing sports, my mom was a coach who led her girls to state in basketball back when I was only in first grade. I got to go and experience the gym and the atmosphere; I immediately fell in love with it. My mother, Talarie, has been my inspiration and muse for my entire life. She has filled my life with so much love and blessed me with many opportunities which lead me to find out who I am. From being in that gym at a young age my love for basketball blossomed, the passion and drive I have for this sport is unlike any other. The smile which spreads across my face when I cross the threshold of the gym doors, my problems all melt away, it is very therapeutic for me. A way to escape the real world and its problems just by putting my focus on the thing I love most. I thank my mother for blessing me with opportunities to travel and play my sport at the same time, I have gone across the nation playing basketball from Florida, to New York, and Kentucky. These times I have cherished very much, not only because I get to spend time with her, but for the life experiences that have been brought along with it. This sport, which I love endlessly, comes not only with great experiences, memories, but also a lot of hard work which has gotten me to this point in my life. If I had not started playing, I would not be the person I am today, and I am so happy that little Ella decided to play because she laid out the blueprint for the rest of my life.
