My name is Leah London and I am a junior at Homewood Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, IL. I have been playing basketball since the fifth grade. I enjoy playing basketball because I love the feeling I get when I put the ball in the basket and the feeling I get when I put a girl on lock on defense. My favorite thing about being a point guard is being able to lead the team and being an extension of my coach. Playing AAU ball has allowed me to play against many varieties of players, travel to many parts of the country, and has exposed me to the different styles of play influenced by geographic location. I also play singles and doubles on the Varsity Tennis team, am in the Marching Band, volunteer/tutor at Workstudy Enterprises and am a Junior Usher at my church. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling with my family and supporting my brother and sister in their extracurricular activities. My goals are to attend college and earn a Teaching Degree while playing basketball at the next level. In the future I would like to teach math to high schoolers because I enjoy helping others learn and I think high schoolers need a teacher that makes math fun and not confusing.
