I believe that I strive to meet my goals and work hard for the accomplishments that I earn, as I take pride in my work both on the court and in the classroom. In me, there is a person that is dedicated to improving herself as a basketball player, a student, and a person.
As a basketball player, I am unselfish, hard working, and disciplined. I always look for ways to improve my game for the benefit of both myself and for my team and will always try to put my team in the best positions to be successful. I possess good court vision and basketball IQ, while also being a primary shooter or ball handler for the teams I am on. As an athlete, I am proud of the accomplishments I have achieved so far and plan to enhance my game so I can achieve even more. I began my high school basketball career as a starting freshman on the varsity team. I have learned a lot from being a freshman starter on varsity, as I gained leadership and was exposed early to the high level of play that varsity demands, helping me as an athlete. As a sophomore, I maintained my starting position on varsity, which increased my leadership skills. During my sophomore season, I was named to the NLCC All-Conference 2nd Team, and was also named the Most Valuable Player.
I also take pride in my work in the classroom. As a student, my schedule consists of almost all honors and AP classes. I maintain a 4.62/4.0 GPA and was in the Academic Top 10 in my freshman year. I am also involved with extra curricular other than basketball, which include Future Business Leaders of America and the Student Council, and I have recently been accepted into the National Honor Society. I plan to become more involved in both my school and my community.
You can be assured to find a great athlete, student, and person in me. I will play with pride and discipline, maintain my high grades, and represent the school and community in a positive manner. I take both academics and basketball seriously, and I am open to all opportunities available to me.
