Personal Statement
I had a basketball in my hands by the time I was two; besides the Lord, basketball was all I knew. I would try to do other sports, but nothing was like basketball to me, so I stuck with it from the beginning.
I've learned how to be mentally tough (nothing gets to me out there) and I've learned that I'm blessed to be able to play this sport. Most importantly, I've learned that the relationships you make with people are probably the most important thing.
My academic goals are to make good grades (preferably all A's, but at least A's and B's) for the rest of my high school career. I want to study more this year, graduate with a higher GPA than I now have (it's currently 3.5), and for college, do the exact same thing.
Overall, I'm a very even-keeled and active person. Faith and family are very important to me. I love children, which is why I am thinking about becoming a teacher. I enjoy swimming, boating/water skiing, going out to eat or to the movies, bowling, hanging with my friends, and BASKETBALL!
