I am very passionate about basketball. For as long as I can remember, I have loved playing basketball. I love the competiveness of the sport. I started my high school basketball career as a freshman on the junior varsity team. The level of play challenged me to step up my game. The encouragement and accolades I received from coaches, parents and referees regarding my speed and agility on the court inspired me to join the track team. The rigorous training for track, increased my speed on the court and my vertical jump for rebounds. My Sophomore year I was asked to be an Athletic PE mentor. Being a mentor has allowed me to cultivate my love of basketball and track in other students. My college major will be mechanical engineering. The engineering field is challenging, but I feel I perform my best when I am challenged. My collegiate aspiration is to attend a school that will challenge me not only in the classroom but also on the court. I look forward to being a part of a team that shares my passion for the sport.
