I have been playing basketball since the 1st grade and I have continued to thrive. My hard work and dedication in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the court make me a good candidate. After two years of highschool, I have been able to keep a cumulative gpa of 3.6 . I have also received the All Conference Scholar Award in Varsity Softball and have been on the Honor roll both my Freshman and Sophomore years of High school. The many accomplishments I have made and my high basktball IQ are significant in the evolution of both my basketball and academic skills.
I have taken 4 honors classes in my high school career so far. So far I have taken Honors Freshman and Sophomore English, Honors Spanish II, and Honors World History. My role as a student is very important to me, as I see myself getting a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Time management is not an issue for me, as I have a balanced schedule of both academics and sports. In the upcoming school year I will likely be in the Publications class offered at Rockford Lutheran. My academic achievements can also be held responsible for my achievements on the basketball court.
My hard work shown in the classroom can also be compared to my dedication on the court. I have been a starter on the JV team for both the 2013-2014 season and the 2014-2015 season. I have also played in a few games on the Varsity team in the 2014-2015 season. My commitment for bettering my skills help me stand out amongst the crowd. I am completely motivated to making myself a better player and teammate. I play complete team ball, which requires to get not only myself, but also my teammates involved in the game. I can't wait to continue improving my skills at the Varsity level this season.
