I have been waiting my entire life for this moment. I have been striving to be the very best version of myself everyday of my life, and all of that hard work has helped me to pursue playing college basketball for the right program and at the best institution. This process means the world to me because it is the biggest decision that I have ever made. Although it is a tough decision to make, I am overjoyed with the possibility of achieving my continuing my playing career in college. I come from a family that enstilled many values in me, that helped me to be a leader among my peers, by being respectful to everyone, and not being a nuisance at home, school, and in my community. I also strive to mentor those that will come after me, so that the legacy of strong female basketball players continue to be embraced and supported by my community. I believe that I am ready for my journey to college and I cannot wait for the experience to learn, work hard, and develop into the woman beyond my dreams.
I have been playing sports (especially basketball) ever since I could walk, because I come from a family that is full of athletes and I was basically born and raised to achieve this. I am described as a quiet but determined young lady, that strives to work harder than anyone else, because I am a firm believer that my efforts when no one is watching, translates into success in the classroom and on the court. I am a triple threat with a high basketball IQ that can run the point guard or shooting guard spots, I am highly confident in my decision making, passing, dribbling, and scoring in multiple ways. I pride myself to be considered an elite defender, because no matter what, with my high energy and sound defensive mindset, I wish to always be reliable to my teammates and to keep myself accountable to do my part as a great teammate. I am a hard worker that is always interested in learning how to get better than the day before. I am always present for workouts, team meetings, and special events. I will not be a liability on-campus either, because I never been in trouble, and I always try to make the best decisions.
Finding my collegiate home is a priority for me and my family, and I wish for an institution and program to give me the opportunity to join a program that will feel like home and achieve my dream of attending college and playing basketball. This decision is the most important, because I wish to one day refer to myself as a College Graduate.
