Lela Scott '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lela Scott and I really want to play college basketball. My collegiate goals would be to graduate with my bachelors degree, make a mark where ever I go, and to do well in all of my classes while being successful on the court. I think I would make a great candidate for any team because I am always willing to do the work needed to get the job done. I love working hard and am willing to do as much as needed. I also think I can make a mark on the court with my ability to be a great teammate. Something that makes me different from other recruits with my character is that I feel as if I am very humble. I am always looking for my teammates first before my shot. Which is a curse and a blessing. I also don't really brag about acheivments or things I do on or off the court. I make sure the job is done and as long as my team gets better and/or we get the win, then I am as happy as can be.  With my athletics, I do think I have a drive to work harder than most. I always want to get better. I will always be willing to listen to critisism if it means I get better. In the classroom, I genuinely like school. I obviously am not fond of the homework but I always get it done to the best of my ability. I love learning and that also translates to the court. I am always aware that the classroom comes before sports, so keeping that in mind keeps me in check as well. I hope you can consider me as someone you'd like to add to your team. I know I can bring a lot to the table on and off the court.
