Hi, my name is Ellie. Basketball is one of my greatest passions. As a freshman, I earned a spot on varsity for the 4th-ranked team in Indiana, where we went on to win our sectional. In the Regional game, I played 14 minutes and scored 10 points. I pride myself on having a strong basketball IQ and the versatility to fill multiple roles. During my sophomore season, I was often called on to play post, forward, or guard—depending on what my team needed. During our sectional game as a sophomore I played many roles and scored 12 points & had six rebounds (I led my team in points and rebounds). As I approach my junior year eager and optimistic, with the ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to the game at a high level.
Academics are just as important to me as athletics. I work tirelessly to maintain the highest grades possible while pushing myself to become the most competitive player I can be. My collegiate goal is to play at the highest level for a program that is the right fit for me, and I am confident I will bring value and commitment to any team I join.
What sets me apart is my leadership. I lead by example, and I am not afraid to speak up when something isn’t right. I am extremely competitive and hate to lose at anything. I listen to my coaches and trainers, and I put in the hard work to implement what they ask of me.
Outside of basketball, I enjoy working with my cattle and competing in open shows. I also like spending time with my family, working at a nutrition shop, and being with my grandparents. Above all, the most important part of my life is my faith in Jesus Christ. Everything I do is for Him.
