Lilly Sylvester '26 Recruiting Profile

Losing our Sectional Final game against Hamilton Heights has set me up for success in my basketball career. Although the loss was hard it taught me as a Freshman that I needed to grow mentally before getting anywhere in the game of basketball. With that, I have learned a set of mental toughness that I didn't have two years ago. The loss allowed me to prepare for my Sophomore year Sectional Game against Jay County to be smart and not get too overwhelmed by the factors surrounding me. 

I believe that my mental toughness, and belief in my teammates and I was what made me Delaware County Player of the Year. It developed me as a player and made me work harder to get better every day. As I have played in high school I have learned that being a leader is another critical value to strengthen a team. I am a leader in multiple ways, specifically leading by example. I try to push my teammates as hard as I can and that has made me better in the process as well.
