Claudia Galea '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Claudia Galea . I am 18 years old and currently in Year 12 at Our Lady’s Mercy College in Melbourne Australia.

My Academics are extremely important to me and I put in a lot of time and hard work into achieving high standards and results.

My goal is to study in the medical field in College.

My other passion is basketball which I am also extremely committed to developing and improving my skills. I am putting in a lot of additional early morning sessions to continue to enhance my skill set , strength and conditioning with help of a personal trainer.

The hard work I have put in has lead me to being awarded the last 2 MVP U18 awards in my bottom and top age representative team. My top age year was played in the best representative competition in the State.

Another of my strengths on the court is my basketball IQ , shooting , defensive intensity, hustle and ball handling. I am also a great team player and have shown great leadership throughout my 12 years basketball experience. I take enormous pride and satisfaction in seeing my teammates continue to improve. I have also been appointed Captain by my coaches and team mates for this current season of Youth League U23  starting in late March 2024. 

I feel giving a opportunity to attend your University I will be a major asset both in the classroom and on the basketball court.
