Trysten Colburn '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been a student athlete for most of my life. I have always been able to work my way to the basket. Right now I am the leading scorer in my county, averaging around 16 points per game and leading my team to a 10-0 record. I have also made the paper for every game so far and have gotten Athlete of the Week for Frederick County, MD. The personal lessons that I have learned from my coaches and teammates, have taught me to hold myself to high standards on and off the court. In the second grade I played basketball for the first time and instantly fell in love with the sport. When I started playing I was not the best, but with hard work and determination I was able to push myself to become the player I am today. I have always been told that I am very coachable.  I would say this is because of my willingness to learn something from everyone. I try to be a leader on and off the court by keeping a positive attitude, always encouraging my teammates to be better, and play together. I would like to study Business in the beginning and from there figure out what I would like to do moving forward in college.
