I think what makes me a perfect candidate is that I will always no matter what give 110% of hard work. I learn from a very young age that nothing was ever going to be given to me, and that in order to succeed I needed to earn everything. My personality and me being humble is something that a lot people admire about me, and I am not trying to be cocky but I do have a really good personality. My mom always taught me to stay positive and patient throughout any hard situation that life puts me through. When it comes to athletics, I am honestly blessed, I have the support from like the whole school, a lot of people know me and come to all my games to support me. I am athletic, smart and naturally strong. A lot of people say my jumping ability is crazy and I didn't realize until I felt it once. My vertical is between 30-40 inch. Academics, that's where it all starts for me. I have always loved sports, but I know that if my academics aren't where they need to be, there is a problem and I wouldn't be able to focus and enjoy what I love to do. I have maintained a 3.8 Gpa throughout my four years in High school. I personally I am not surprise, I am really hard on myself and I demand a lot. I always push for better. Despite me being so hard on myself, I am a huge fan of having fun, I love to have fun in everything I do because if I don't, then it becomes a job. I push my teammates to their fullest, just like they push me everyday, they make me better even when they don't know it. A lot of people are amazed as to how I have balanced out playing three sports and still do well in school, but I'm not at all. I always ask for more, when I have an A on the class, I don't settle, I want that A+. My mom always says that "if I am not aiming high, then I am aiming too low and there is a problem." And I believe it, I always aim high and work hard for what I want. I know that while I'm "slacking," others are working harder, so when it comes to sports I have always think that I need to be the first one in the gym and the last one to leave. My mom can't necessarily make it to most of my games, but when I come home with a trophy, honor rolls from school or me in the front cover of a newspaper, I know she is proud. That's really all I can ask for. As long as I have my family support, God and those who have helped me come this far, I will succeed. My mom is been a great influence in everything I do, and all she ever asks of me is to be the best version of myself in anything I do, just be myelf, be humble, and be grateful for all the blessings in my life.
