Ava Dwyer '26 Recruiting Profile

As cliché as it may sound, I fell in love with basketball from the moment I stepped on the court. It is such an emotional, growth-inducing game, unparalleled to many other sports in its beauty. My passion for it has grown in my years of playing, leading me to more competitive experiences. I played on the 3SSB circuit for Rivals Elite and the UAA circuit for Bay State Jaguars.While on those teams I was especially able to develop different aspects of my game: skills, teamwork, and importantly, the mental side.

Attending a boarding school and having competed on teams with busy traveling schedules, I have found myself doing school and volunteer work any chance I can—in a rental car, hotel room, or between games, for example. I share this to highlight the importance of education and community to me. Life extends beyond the basketball court, and to that point, I aspire to grow as much as I can beyond it as I do on one.

Considering the importance of academic rigor, community, and challenging basketball to me, my goal and dream is to play collegiately at a selective college. I recognize the difficulty of this achievement and I am willing to work for it; I hope that much is clear after this short introduction.
