Cadence Bommarito '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old.  Even though I am naturally right handed, I first started dribbling with my left which has since helped me to be extremely proficient with both hands. I have strong ball handling skills, I’m fast and have a high basketball IQ and ability to read the court. I am a team leader and always try to encourage my teammates, I have been praised by coaches for being an unselfish player.  I am very coachable and strive to be the hardest working player for any team I am a part of. 

In the off-season, I attend as many basketball camps as I can, I play AAU for West Michigan Drive and I participate in Gus Macker tournaments.  My freshman year, I played 17U and was a starter in the National Summer Classic in Chicago with my AAU team.  I have earned two Gus Macker trophies so far with different teams each time.  I also run Cross Country to keep myself conditioned.  I am highly motivated and determined to become the best player I can be.

In school, I take studying very seriously.  I work hard and maintain a high GPA, currently 3.9575.  I challenge myself by taking AP courses and I also serve on my school’s student council.

Outside of school and sports, I like to crochet in my spare time.  I have made many different things, from small toys to clothing that I actually wear.  I also work as a Beekeeper Assistant.  Through this job, I have learned a lot about bee colonies, pollination, honeycomb and  honey products!

Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level.  I know I have the discipline, drive and commitment to excel on the court and in the classroom.  I look forward to earning the opportunity to play for a competitive basketball program while receiving an excellent college education.
