Personal Statement – Parc Liggins, Class of 2026
Basketball has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It’s more than just a game—it’s where I find purpose, push my limits, and lead by example. As a junior at Grand Blanc High School, I have been fortunate to make an impact both on and off the court. From leading my team to the state finals to setting a school record with 10 three-pointers in a single half, I have always embraced the challenge of elevating my game. Scoring a career-high 37 points in a Class A Division 1 matchup was a milestone, but my true pride comes from the dedication, discipline, and teamwork it takes to compete at a high level.
Beyond my achievements on the court, I strive to be a leader. As a team captain, I take pride in motivating and supporting my teammates, knowing that success is built on trust and commitment. My hard work has been recognized nationally by 5 Star Magazine, and I was honored to be voted Player of the Week by Prep Hoops. However, my dedication extends beyond basketball—I hold myself to a high standard academically, ensuring that my work in the classroom reflects the same level of excellence as my play on the court.
My goal is to continue competing at the highest level, bringing my relentless work ethic, leadership, and love for the game to a collegiate program that values dedication, skill, and team success. I am excited for the opportunities ahead and ready to embrace the next challenge.
