Mikayla Blood '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mikayla Blood, and from a young age I have been passionate about basketball. This has driven me to want to pursue a career in college. I believe I am an athlete that can be very coachable, a great team player, and a threat on the court. I have great defense as well as offense, and that can be seen throughout my games and trainings. I stand out most as a 2026 graduate by my basketball IQ and by helping my team on and off the court. I also have great moves down under the basket. The hardest obstacle I’ve had to face during my past basketball seasons is my mental toughness. However, there has been major growth. I am still learning how to dominate this weakness. I believe with the right coaching, I will be able to dominate more than just my lack mental toughness. Outside of basketball I participate in track and spend most of my free time working. I have a very strong work ethic, and you can see that with the sports I participate in and at my job. I also maintain a 3.9 GPA, while working and participating in sports. I have a been selected for national honor Society for this upcoming year. I believe that this shows truly how much focus and hard work I put into everything I do.
