Rebecca Zilka '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was in first grade. Ever since I first stepped onto the court, I've been in love with the game. It would absolutely be a dream come true to play at the collegiate level. Playing the sport I love in college would be an opportunity that could change my life.

I have strong ball handling skills, soft hands, my passes always go to the target, and I have a high basketball IQ. I always encourage my teammates and try to be a leader on the team. I am very coachable, and I strive to be one of the hardest working players and recruits you'll find.

My favorite high school game is "Shooting with the Stars",  each year our High School partners with Joe Brighton an alternative special education school.  I have been working with Britney Taylor for the last two years, we have grown as friends beyond this one day event.  We share Snap Chats and Instagram messages, I hope I can help make a difference in her life.

I am a Four Sport Varsity Athlete but I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I would like to study business in college, and someday own my own business.

I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I wish to make my parents proud and most importantly become a good role model for young athletes.
