Basketball isn't just a game for me — it's a passion that has taught me more than just how to dribble, shoot, and win. It's taught me the importance of resilience, self-discipline, and the strength to push beyond my limits. Through every practice and every game, I’ve learned valuable lessons about dedication, leadership, and the power of teamwork. But perhaps most importantly, basketball has shown me the value of perseverance and the joy that comes from pursuing something I truly love.
I learned how quickly opportunities can be taken away when a basketball injury (broken bone) during my sophomore season left me sidelined. This experience made me even more grateful for every moment I have on the court. It has also deepened my understanding of the critical connection between body, nutrition, and my mindset. I now approach basketball with an even greater appreciation.
While winning is undoubtedly an amazing feeling, what stands out even more for me is the incredible sense of being "all in" with a team. That collective effort, the unity, and the shared journey are experiences I will carry with me to any college basketball court and beyond.
