I have been playing basketball since I was a small child. I have grown up in the gym from having two older sisters who also have played the sport. Basketball is the only true sport that has helped develop who I am as an individual and a team player. Over the years I have evolved into a leader on the court and a player who can help build momentum. I am a solidly skilled athlete that can lead a team from the inside. I have played varsity basketball for Park Center Senior High School since 8th grade and have contributed in many ways because I am a versatile player. With a 5’9”/168lb strong small forward frame I have also been able to perform at all other positions when needed to create balance on the floor.
I will work to earn playing time as a freshman and becoming a strong link in the team chain. I would like to attend a college that offers a successful Accounting Program that will help me to achieve my life’s goals. My GPA is currently 2.7 and continuing to rise. By the end of my senior year I am striving to have a 3.2 or above GPA. I am working on my ACT scores an expecting to record within the coming months. The school size has no impact on my preference, but having the ability to be a successful student athlete is very important to me.
My dream is to play women’s basketball at the collegiate level for a successful athletic program such as your university offers. I am a loyal, dedicated hardworking player that believes you need to earn your playing time by performing at your best even during practice to show your drive to achieve a higher level. Whether that’s leading the team with strong defense, rebounds, assist, or having an advanced basketball IQ. I believe my best fit would be at the DI or DII level, although I would welcome other opportunities that help me to become a well-rounded student athlete.
