As a kid I always enjoyed sports. I played many different sports growing up, but it wasn’t until my 6th grade year that I would find the sport that I loved. When I played my first year of basketball in 6th grade, I found a passion for the sport. Not only did I look forward to practices and games every week, but I also looked forward to getting home from school so that I could work on my ball handling and shooting. Working on my game outside of practices became an addiction for me. I always wanted to be the best at everything I did. I’ve always been a very competitive person that hated to lose and I understood that even at a younger age. I knew that if I wanted my team to win as well as become better individually, I would have to work harder and put in extra time. Little by little my work would pay off and that would only give me more fuel to want to become better as well as fall even more in love with the sport. Developing the habit of working on my basketball and IQ skills in the off season as well as outside of practices helped me achieve a successful high school career. My Junior and Senior year (61 games) I combined for a total of 1,032 points--434 rebounds--300 assists--265 steals--46 blocks. I ended my high school career with 1,849 points.
As soon as someone made it aware to me that I could play basketball after high school at an even more competitive level, I added it to my goals that I would accomplish. For personal reasons I choose not to play my first year of college, however, the goal is still there. I'm still a player who is obsessed with the game, growth, personal development, winning, and becoming the greatness version of myself as a player and as a human. I am a player who has always loved team success. I am versatile and can play whatever position I am put in. Mid-range shots and driving are my specialty. I have great court vision. I can rebound and play down low or I could bring the ball up the court. I'm confident on the court and can lead. I love hard work. I know that being diligent in everything you do is a key to success and I would love to bring all the traits that I embody to a program. I would love to bring my skills that I have worked to build over the years to a team and help that team achieve more success.
