For as long as I can remember basketball has been a part of who I am. I have been told that I am very coachable, have a strong work ethic, and a high basketball IQ. I put in the work on my own when no one is looking. I have spent hours shooting and doing drills. My basketball strengths include shooting, rebounding, and passing. I pride myself on doing the little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet; team leadership, consistency, help defense, and making the extra pass to name a few.
As much as I love basketball, I also believe it is important to maintain a high GPA and be involved in other activities. In addition to athletics, I currently participate in band and choir. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, SHOC (Students Helping Others Choose), and Key Club. Volunteering is an important part of who I am. I spend time volunteering at school, church, and in the community.
Being part of a team is also extremely important to me. The friendships I have with my teammates and coaches are incredible. They all have had a great influence on my life. My goal is to play basketball at a college where I can push myself on the court and in the classroom as well as be a part of an amazing team.
