Being a small town girl raised on a farm I was told to believe as a girl I can do anything a guy can do. No matter the challenge; big or little I can do it and do it right. I'm Emily Jones from Benkelman NE. I am a Junior at Dundy County- Stratton High school. I am a hardworking, committed, and loyal athlete, willing to do anything to reach my goals and dreams.
As a Freshman I only started four games, but played a majority of minutes during the games. I was the go to girl; my coaches knew that they could always count on me. As a Sophomore I was a starter in the point guard position. My teammates call me our floor general because I know when to push and when to pull up. I can read a defense and take control to set up a play. We were conference champions and Nebraska D-1 state runner-ups.
I'm not only a hardworker on the court, but in the classroom as well. I work hard and always put academics first. When I hear student- athlete, I always say "Student comes before athlete." I know what I put in is what I will get out; that carries over to basketball as well. You play the way you practice.
I'm a small town girl who is willing to give you a 110% on and off the court. I look forward to visiting with you and learning more about your school and basketball program. I am eager to talking to you in the near future.
