Abigail DeWitt '19 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing basketball since I was 10 years old. I've always had a scoring state of mind, which has allowed me to start on my teams every year that I have played.  Apart from my scoring mentality, I also believe that basketball, and any other sport, is a team sport. I not only try to succeed personally, but also to help my teammates succeed. 

I am a strong ball handler, shooter, and I see the court well. People always tell me that I am a leader, and that my teammates look for me to have the ball. I don't believe in giving up, so I work hard in every drill and every game that I play. I've always been known as being athletic and able to excel in any sport that I play.

I'm hoping to find a college that pushes me in my basketball career, but also allows me to excel in academics as well. I hope to be a role model to my audience, to people younger than me, and to make my parents proud.
