Personal Statement
When I was 5 I started to take Basketball seriously and ever since I fell in love with the game. Basketball has made me grow on and off the court as a person. I have learned skills that I don't think I would've learned as young and as quick as I did. I learned to be a leader no matter the situation. I have also learned my work ethic from being part of a team. Time management is another skill I have learned because balancing school work and still playing basketball isn't easy. It is just the effort that will make the overall difference in the results. Ultimately my goal is to play college basketball and to bring everything my game has to the program I play for. I am a winner so I will do what ever it takes to be successful on and off the court. If my team needs me to score I have the ability to do so. If they need someone to rebound I will go get every single one. If they need me to take a charge I am capable of laying everything on the line for the team. A great characteristic about my self that will bring something great to any program is my enthusiastic personality. Whether I am on the bench or on the court I am engaged in every play and cheering everyone on. I still bring that same attitude and enthusiasm.
Academically I am very successful and I take my studies seriously. I was academically ranked #145 out of 756 students in my graduating class of 2020 in my school during the 2017-2018 school year. I know you can not play the sport you love if the grades don't match. Everyday I take that into consideration while in the classroom. I put my full efforts in to keeping my grades sound while also focusing in on basketball. This separates my self from other athletes. Moving on from the academic's side, my High School has been to 2 straight play off appearance's since I have attended and my freshman year we won 1st place in the Northwest Region Division in Las Vegas, Nevada.
