Basketball has been one of my passions since the age of three and the game itself has modeled me into the person I am today. To play basketball you must have the right attitude, drive, and level of communication as well as determination and those are things I do have. I am a flexible player allowing me to be very coachable and I am able to apply those lessons from my coaches on the court. As you will see in my soon-to-be-uploaded game tapes, I am a vocal individual and always maintain communication with my teammates no matter where I am on the court. I keep everyone, including myself, engaged in what is going on and aware of the court as a whole. My drive and determination to always want to do better have brought me where I am today, and I continue to grow as a student, an athlete, and a leader to others around me. I have dedicated many hours to the game of basketball, whether that be playing or volunteering for programs/camps, and I have no plans of stopping.
Academically, writing and human sciences have always been strong passions of mine. Whether my writing is to be performed, deeply thought about on a serious topic or a quick write. When it comes to science I enjoy hands-on activities and ones that require you to truly think and analyze what information was given to you. This allows me to always be analyzing the player(s) in front of me, figuring out their next move, their habits, and what gets them going. There is rarely a time when the lessons I get from the game or my academics can’t be applied to one another.
I hope to continue pursuing my athletic and academic interests at the collegiate level in the near future.
