I am in the graduating class of 2020 at Gallup High School. I am currently on the Gallup High School varsity team. Before Gallup High School I attended Rehoboth Christian School and as a member of the the basketball program there, I played on the Freshman and Junior Varsity team as an 8th grader. I've played on Rehoboth Christian School's Varsity team and was a starter for my Freshman year. I've also played on the soccer program and have experienced two years in the Varsity level program, in which both years we attended the State Championship tournament. I played club soccer with the Gallup Sand Sharks for 3 years. I have played club basketball with the Navajo Nation Lady Cats of New Mexico/Arizona, Navajo Nation Elite of New Mexico/Arizona, New Mexico Select 16u and New Mexico Clippers-Silver/Gold Gauntlet teams.
Currently, at Gallup High School, I played on the Varsity soccer team and am on the first team all-district team and was Honorable mention All-District and chosen Best Mid-fielder by the team last year. I am on the current All-District Academic team as I hold a 3.8 GPA. I am currently enrolled in Honors and AP classes. I feel that having these courses will allow me to prepare for college and it challenges me daily to strive and to be the best student-athlete I can be. I enjoy the push and challenge that school, sports and family life offers. I understand there are sacrifices in life and therefore, my push to want to do college on my own is a goal I seek. I want to be successful in my academic studies and receive my Bachelor's degree then on to my Master's degree.
I have a future that I've already started to plan for, and I know that I cannot accomplish it without my determination and hard work in the classroom. Being a student-athlete will take dedication, motivation, sacrifice and a lot of hard work, and that's the challenge that I put myself in. I want to be successful in all that I do and I'm willing to work hard for it. I leave everything on the hardwood, the pitch and in the classroom.
