Nathaly Filion '17 Recruiting Profile

• My over all dream is to make it to the WNBA. I am person that is not scared to work hard and strive for what i want. I plan on graduating from High School and going to college for my bachelor's degree i want to study Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, become part of the S.W.A.T team.  Playing College basketball is one of my BIGGEST GOALS. Ive been playing  Basketball for 6 years, been playing High school basketball for 3 years Girls Varsity team. I see myself being a good candidate for your team because Im A very HUMBLE person. I like to learn and im teach-able meaning i take constructive criticism well and to my advantage not only to be respectful but to become a better player myself. I don't mind working hard, day and night to play basketball. I would still manage to stay on the books and work hard to get my degree and get a good paying job and try to make a change in the world and overall make my dreams come true. Things have not always been smooth sailing but i don't let that get in the middle of my goals and dreams for me and my mom. Im an only child and live with my mom, My dad and me don't have a relationship he disappears in and out of my life it hurts as a daughter not having a father there to run too but i don't make pity on myself. I know i have my mom that works hard to make sure im not missing anything. Now is my turn to give her all she deserves and she deserves the world, all she deserves for giving me life is not found and it will never be enough. What makes me different from other players or recruits is that im not afraid to fall or to hit rock bottom because i get up back stronger no matter what the situation is. I love basketball, is my stress reliever and i enjoy playing the game IS MY PLACE OF PEACE, BEING ON THE COURT makes me feel like i can accomplish anything. Overall i love learning more and more about the game and taking chances and stepping out of my comfort zone. I may not be the best in the world but i have HUNGER built inside to work hard and prove that i can be great, accomplish anything and everything. It would be an HONOR to have a chance to prove my dedication and love for the game of Basketball would make all the difference in the world. I hope i gave all readers little picture of a person i am.
