Marissa Nolan '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Marissa Nolan, out of Lansing NY. I have played basketball since age 7 and have loved it ever since. I played starting point guard on JV my 8th grade year and played Varsity my freshman year as starting point guard as well. My main goal this season was to put in hard work and effort while getting a feel for my new team, while of course having fun. My goal next year gets a little more serious as I would like to see myself develop my skills including reading the defender and my IQ levels increasing tremendously. I played AAU for the Cortland Crown City team this summer. Of all the sports I've played, basketball is my greatest passion. The reason I aspire to play basketball in college is to continue my love for the sport with people that love it just as much, to learn and grow as a player and just as much as a person. I can be in the gym for hours, before and after practice as I am just always entertained with this sport. Academically I strive to push myself further and further each year. I want to accomplish being president of my school before graduating high school, and having students such as new coming freshman to feel comfortable talking to me about concerns they have with their school. In college I want to study physical therapy and master the human needs and body functions. I am very coachable, a great teammate who pushes people to be their best and confident in what I do!
