Abbie Shields '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a versatile 5'11"  junior that is able to fill the 1-4 slots on the court.I have played AAU basketball for 5 years and started on varsity my freshman and sophomore years. I have led my AAU team to many championships and I have been named to the all-tournament team at  Christmas tournaments. I also have been named to the section V class CC all-tournament team. This year I was named the Wayne County Player of the Year.

I am a hard worker on and off the court. I am first to the gym and last to leave. I am also in the gym in my off time working on my skills. I also dedicate myself to academics. I have a 96 average and am taking many honors courses. I plan to attend a college-level, hospital based medical program next year in preparation for my college experience.

I would like to be at a mid to large size school where I can make a contribution early in my career. I love this sport and want to put in the time and effort it takes to play at the next level.
