As a high school basketball player, playing for the Class AA Section V Penfield Girls Basketball team, I have known what it is like to play hard and to work even harder to succeed. My professional goal is to obtain a career in the medical field. My athletic goal is to play basketball while earning the degrees and certifications necessary to realize my career goals. Basketball is a sport that I am passionate about because it has offered me a great deal of challenge and reward since I was a 10 year old girl. It has taught me what it means to be a member of a team and to have others depend on me, even as I am depending on them. Throughout my high school career, I have been able to balance multiple scholastic and club sports, a part time job and volunteer work, while earning honor roll in each marking period. In the game, I am focused, determined and have an unwavering court sense. Off the court, I am a very outgoing person and have good relationship with all my teammates and coaches. I believe that basketball has helped to make me the successful student athlete that I have become and I would like to continue that success at the next level.
