I am currently a senior in high school and will be graduating in June 2015. I have been on the Varsity team since 8th grade as a shooting guard. My freshman and sophomore years I was one of the top two scorers on my team and one of the top six in the central division; I also was one of the top 10 for Section Ten 3-point shooters. My junior year (2013-14) I missed the start of and the first 6 games of the season with a late season volleyball injury but I came back to lead my team in points, blocks and steals, and 2nd in assists. I am truly hoping that I can help lead our young team to a sectional championship my senior year.
I have been playing in youth leagues since the 2nd grade and have played on AAU teams since the 5th grade. I would love to play college basketball because I really enjoy the game and I love being part of a team. I am a good candidate for any team because I am athletic, coachable and I value everything a coach has to teach me. I am a team player and I don't believe that one person makes a team - I enjoy seeing us all do well. I also believe that a good athlete should be a good student too - it shows that you work hard both on and off the floor. I currently am in the top 25% of my class academically and keep around a 91 average.
I have been attending basketball camps for years and I volunteer/help coach youth groups at the Potsdam Bears International Summer Basketball Camp which I really enjoy. I got to coach my own team last year (4th thru 6th grade) and with a little end of the game strategy, they won the championship game at the end of the camp; I was really proud of them! This year I refereed and two weeks before I also coached the Gym Rats with little players - it was a lot of fun!
