I started playing basketball freshman year for the very first time. It was obvious I had a lot of work to do in order to catch up with the rest of the girls my age. I worked all of freshman year during the season and ended up starting by the end of the year. I kept advancing post season but unfortunately dislocated my knee, it was devastating to me, my family and my team. I was out most of my sophomore season but worked the whole time to better my self as an athlete both physically and mentally. I attended every game and practice to cheer on my teammates, when I returned I put in the work In and out of practice and was starting my second game back. This year I made the varsity team and started almost every game, unfortunately once again during one of our last games I dislocated my knee taking me out of the season and making me unable to play for my team during our championship games. Ive put in a lot of work to strengthen my knee and am back to the sport I love. Basketball has taught me that if you work hard enough and put the time and effort in to something good things will follow. I'm looking to continue my basketball career into college in order to learn more about myself and the sport I love. I'm greatful for any opportunity I receive during this stage in my life and am ready to put 110% effort into any team.
