Kaven Joyner '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kaven Joyner and I have been playing competitive basketball since I was 8 years old.

I have excellent footwork for a post player, soft hands, and a high basketball IQ. I have a variety of post moves and can score with either hand. My size and soft touch from 15-18 feet make me a dangerous scoring option when running the pick and roll or pick and pop. My true love however is playing defense and rebounding. I am a selfless team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I'm not concerned with personal stats I only want to help my team win. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players you’ll find.

In the classroom, I study hard and always do my best. I am very involved in my school and local community.

I want to attend a college where I can be pushed in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud. My career interests are in education/coaching and the medical field.
