I have always been someone who strives to be the best version of myself in all I do--whether it is in athletics, academics, or daily life. Basketball has given me the opportunity to chase and reach greatness in which I want to continue throughout college. After playing only about the second half of both my freshman and sophomore basketball seasons due to injury, I have learned how to handle adversity and to never use a setback as an excuse for anything except my best. Those minor setbacks made me realize just how much I love the game of basketball and reminded me to never take playing--practices and workouts included--for granted. Basketball has also helped me grow as a leader and team-player, teaching me to lead by example through passion and hard work and to play for the benefit of my team. I envision my college years to be full of personal growth both on and off the court by improving my basketball skills and game while excelling in the classroom. As I continue my basketball journey, I will work hard with a positive attitude and a determined mindset, always striving for and chasing greatness.
