Jazelle Mercury '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jazelle Mercury, my love for basketball began in 5th grade when I started playing for Kent Parks and Rec. Basketball has always been my favorite sport. I love the energy and competitiveness about the game I also enjoy the teamwork aspect of the game and traveling, and meeting new people. I play point gaurd and my favorite thing about playing this position is being the coach on the court, the team leader and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and running through plays. My goals are to make it on a college team and be the best athlete I can. I'm very passionate, hard-working and a determined player. I also work very hard off the court focusing on  my grades. I take Business and sports management, this is my third year in the class and I hope to take it in college as my major.
