My dream since I was a little girl running around on the court was to play basketball at an elite level in college. I didn't start actually setting goals and working to achieve this until I realized it was actually possible for me. After I knew my talents could take me to that level of the game, I started attending workout sessions 4 days a week, getting in the gym to shoot with my teammates, and joining an AAU program that would help me become a better player and person. I would be a good candidate for a college team because I work well with other people without any drama or problems. I learned early that you need to work hard to get what you want. Also, being in basketball this long taught me the most important things on and off the court: leadership and communication. In the classroom, I maintain my GPA to above a 3.0 and I am a good student with no bad comments on my report cards.
