Hi! Thank you for visiting my recruiting profile page.
I love basketball.
I am blessed to have excellent basketball coaches (now and in the past). My high school coach came from the college coaching ranks. My AAU coach is a successful varsity boy’s head coach and he has a daughter who is an outstanding intercollegiate basketball player. Clearly they both know first-hand what it takes for a high school player to make the transition into a contributing member of a successful women’s collegiate basketball team.
If you talked to either or both of them, I believe they would describe me as an versatile athlete with a high basketball IQ who has the ability to play multiple positions on both ends of the court.
I believe that they would describe me as a great teammate who brings a positive attitude every day and continually works hard at improving every aspect of my game.
I believe you can ask them anything about my basketball skills and/or my character and they will be brutally honest.
Why do I tell you this?
Because it’s one thing for me to tell you that I have a consistent jump shot complemented by a variety of post moves and the ability to finish with contact with either hand.
Or if I tell you I take great pride in my defense on-ball as well as off-ball D.
Or if I tell you I actually enjoy the “thankless things” that may go unnoticed by the untrained eye but are critical to the success of a team like busting cutters, boxing out and fighting tirelessly to get offensive rebounds as well as 50/50 balls for my team.
Or that I love running the court regardless if we are transiting from defense to offense or vice versa.
It’s one thing if I say all that about myself but it’s another thing if - not one but two - highly qualified coaches (who I suspect have never met each other) both say similar things about how I conduct myself on & off the court.
If you are a college coach and you are potentially interested in recruiting me, I encourage you to contact my North Canton Hoover (OH) Head Coach Josh Mason and or my Ohio Xtreme 2023 expo team Coach Jack Banks. They both love to talk hoops and they are both straight shooters. No doubt, they will tell it like it is.
Thank you,
Janet
