I take the student part of student athlete serious. I am currently in all advanced classes with a 4.13 GPA and my State Test scores show me as being proficient in all subjects. I realize that colleges make a big investment in student athletes and the last thing they would want their recruit to be is not successful in class. So the first reason I would make a good candidate for your school is you will not have to worry about my grades and maintaining my eligibility. One of the differences in me from most other athletes is that I am team oriented. I would prefer to check the other teams best player and shut them down. Most players today think that scoring is the key to getting a scholarship. My thoughts are that the best way to getting a scholarship is to be a total player. I like to do the things that go unnoticed, like making the extra pass, taking a charge, rebounding, and more than anything is making sure I am a good teammate.
