Hello my name is Kelsi Mckenna, I attend Chartiers Valley Highschool in Pennsylvania. I’ve been playing basketball since 3rd grade and have found great passion for the sport. Moreover, I am a 5’3” shooting guard and point guard. I support my team offensively with not just points but with steals and lots of assists. I’m considered a great defensive threat, with an average of 3 steals per game. I average about 50% from the three point line and 70% from the free throw line. I’ve been told by many people I have a great vision for the court and put it to great use. I started playing AAU in 6th grade and have never stopped since. I now play with Drill For Skill during my travel season. Furthermore, since 8th grade I have decided to take basketball more seriously as I want to move forward with it into college. I’ve focused on being coachable, conditioned, confident, and compassionate, the four C’s. I have incessantly pushed myself to build my strength during the off season to help myself recover better from my ACL tear. Leading into my Senior year I’m excited to start looking at colleges to go to and I especially would love to play basketball at one. As much as important basketball is so is my academics. On average I get a 3.8 gpa unweighted and have been accepted into the National Honor Society. In the future I would most enjoy doing a job within the forensics field or criminology.
