Every practice, every game I stride to get better. If I make a stupid mistake I know before the coach can even tell me. However I never let that one mistake drag me down. I ask questions if I'm not sure how to improve on something. I won't just sit around waiting for my coach to tell me. After the game I always evaluate it and think of things I should have done and things I could have done better. Unlike most, I don't want to be good. I stride to be better, but not better than anyone else. I want to be better than myself now.
I'm a hard working student. I like to challenge myself with my classes and my school work. If I don't have homework for a class I try to get ahead in another one. To me my grades are very important. Not because of what it can do for my future, don't get me wrong that's great, but I love the feeling when you get back a test knowing you tried your hardest and seeing an A.
My hard work does not stop at academics. As for my sports, I've played many over the years. Some may call them phases but I refer to them as experiences. It was a great opportunity to get out and be active while also meeting new people.
My school has many clubs and I wish I could do half of them but I can't. With my busy schedule it keeps me occupied. However I still wanted to join a club so I joined interact club. Not just so I can say I was in a club but to actually do something to help my community and get others involved as well.
I wish to further my career in sports as well as academics because they are both equally important to me
