Lindsay Frabotta '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior at New Castle High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania. My main position is small forward, however I have played all 5 positions and can easily adapt to whatever role my coach may need me to play at any given time. I have started on the varsity team at my school all three years thus far. I started playing organized basketball in 5th grade, and it has been my passion ever since. There is no better feeling in the world to me than putting on my uniform and running out onto the court. The best parts of my game are my ability to drive to the hoop along with my defensive skills. I take pride in defense and will do whatever it takes to stop my opponent from scoring because I see a steal or a missed shot by the opponent as one less chance for them and one more opportunity for us. Another one of my strengths is three point shooting, as I shot 51% from three point range in my sophomore season. I am a team player and I like to get all of my teammates involved in the offense. I am always looking for the open player on the court. My favorite part of playing basketball is the games that come down to the final possession, and I want the ball in my hands in that moment. I feel very comfortable in high-pressure situations with the game on the line. No matter what the odds are, I always believe that my team can find a way to come away with the win. I will never give up no matter what the score and I will always give 110% in everything I do. Win or loss, I go home after every game and watch the film so that I can see not only what I can improve on but what my team as a whole can improve on. I always try to do whatever I can to help my teammates get better. I work just as hard in the classroom as I do in the gym. I am in all honors and AP classes and have a GPA of 4.35. I took two college credit courses as a sophomore when these courses are usually only offered to juniors and seniors. Balancing schoolwork with three sports can be hard at times, but I like to challenge myself. I also participate in track and field and I am on the boys golf team. I have lettered in both of these sports as well. Playing college basketball has always been a dream of mine and I hope that you see me as a good fit for your team.
