Personal Statement

I’m Jayla South, 5’10 shooting guard from Pocono Mountain East High School in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania. Class of 2023. I’ve been passionate about basketball since the age of 5 and playing competitively since I was 8. Playing college basketball at an academically sound institution is a high priority for me. My basketball resume includes 6 years of AAU and the 2019 Jr. NBA global championships. Also played significant time on our varsity team as a freshman. Basketball gives the opportunity to grow, not only athletically, but mentally and socially as well.
