As a sophomore my high school team was successful, but fell short by losing in the regional finals and missing the state tournament. At that point both as a team and individually, we committed ourselves further to breaking those barriers. This year we achieved that goal by winning the 5-A Texas state championship. Further, I was very humbled by being named MVP of the state tournament. These failures and triumphs have taught me valuable lessons that have molded me into who I am today.
I am now a very confident and fortunate player with great coaches, teammates and family supporting me. I know that I have the drive to be successful at the college level. I work hard in anything and everything I do and constantly try to improve in all areas of my life. My determination and work ethic is not only evident on the court, but also in the classroom. Academics have and will always be very important to me. I am looking for a school that will be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I know the sacrifice it takes to win and am prepared to do whatever it takes to better myself and your program.
