Payton Richards '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a tough and scrappy PG known for my ability to guard the opposing team's best player, my speed, and my offensive finishing in transition. My coach always points out that he has never seen a girl with my speed in his 20+ years of coaching. I am the oldest of three, so it is important to me that I be a good role model and leader to my siblings, just as I would on the court. I want to be a known leader who can help my teammates with any possible issues or questions they may have. There are always lessons to be learned during competition, but it is what you get from your experiences that allows you to be coachable and enables you to motivate others to succeed. My academics are just as important, which is why I maintain over a 4.0 GPA and actively participate in a multitude of extracurricular activities.
