Aaliyah Romero '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Aaliyah Romero. I am a current freshman in high school and I played on my freshman basketball team. My position was a point guard and shooting guard. The different aspects in my life is that I am a weekly volunteer at my church and I have several experiences with kids and coaching. As I was was growing up my brother played basketball and I was always told “no” because I was a girl. It wasn’t until I was older when I was able to start officially playing basketball on a team. Now that I’m older I have the opportunity to compete to be the best I can be. For me that means not only to compete to be the best amongst my peers but also the best person/ teammate that I could be. I feel like I would be a great aspect to play basketball because I know how to be/remain coachable. To me being “coachable” would mean know the difference between my mistakes from the way I am being taught. I hope to get the opportunity to come out and see your campuses and meet you in person.
