I have worked tediously the past three years of high school to make myself a better player, person, and student because I know I am capable of things many teens my age are not. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to continue playing the game I love, while furthering my education to become a teacher as well a coach.
I am a more versatile player than most, a coach could put me on any spot on the floor and I could get the job done. I know that being a strong defensive player is equally as important as being a strong offensive player. I know to win you have to give your all to your team. I put my teammates before myself and work my hardest for the benefit of us all.
As a freshmen I was on the junior varsity team, but I knew I was able to be more. I worked hard in the off-season, I attended morning workouts at my school, as well as playing in a summer league for my team. By my sophomore year, my hard work had paid off, I was a starter on our varsity team. I have pushed myself to become the player I am today and I will push myself everyday to become a better player tomorrow.
When I'm not participating in basketball, I participate on our cross country and track teams. I believe great conditioning is a strong foundation for any athlete. I know that this may be a challenging road, but anything worth having is worth working for.
